So how do we “whore” the bandwidth?

First of all, “whoring bandwidths” is not really a term.

Bandwidth is the amount of data transferred via communications channel (LAN, HDD etc.). To keep it simple, it’s the size of the path where data travels. Bigger bandwidth, MOAR data.

It’s not related to speed, as data travels in a constant rate. Even it you’re in 28.8 kbps or 1Gbps, data transfer speed is the same.

Whoring actually means “is getting most of the data flow into your connection”.

whoring is kinda used to piss off other users in an internet cafe or members of a Local Area Network, or just being selfish by hogging all of the bandwidth to yourself.

I usually whore, when there are lotsa kids, fags, 15yr.olds browsing crap from youtube or crunchyroll.

1. Get SiteRaepers Download Managers that can do real damage (DAP is an example) lol.. use FDM. Not only because it’s free, but it also keep bandwidth levels to an acceptable rate.

I used to serve files before, using the school’s interweb. But my laptop cried and nearly died due to multiple connections using DAP, and using DAP eats all of your office/school/cafe bandwidth.

2. Ping yer default gateway address, especially when you’re on school, office, cafe LAN. Sounds ridiculous, but it works most of the time. Battlecries are the confirmation that it worked. Administrator lock? get a portable one.

very useful I say, especially during enrollments. (my University uses online enrollment)

3. Fasterfox for Firefox is neat too!

4. Using IE? try Google’s Accelerator

5. Torrents? I use utorrent

6. IRC is fine too. (for some reason, file transfers are fast in IRC)

1. use teh MEGAUPLOAD bypass add-on for Firefox for unlimited pron downloads.

Its just that some sites will “SEE” your IP as one from Spain. (Ask the developer why)

2. Keep a bunch of feeds for animu updates.

Note: I really don’t know how this Internet Boost Aura began, I quite surprised when it happened for the first few times. The story is: t’was summer, and my blockmate was complaining about sucky speeds and then, I sat beside him. After that, Speeds skyrocketed to 300KB.

Next, I was at a Computer Rental Shop, it’s the time of the day where there were a lot of YouTube bastards (enemy of Online Gamers). Downloaders get sucky 20KB speeds. Me? 70KB~120KB (Raw download, without tools, same site
